Ministry vs Fellowship vs Church?

We use ministry and fellowship interchangeably. Ministries are spiritual communities where people can support one another in our relationships with Christ.

Ministries are often composed of small groups, and when ministries come together as a whole, they hold activities like large group (see below for more info). Common activities within a ministry include Bible study, prayer meetings, conversations about faith-related topics, musical worship, and bonding/fun activities! Often times, ministries are a part of or affiliated with a church. Churches are larger, more formal establishments. Churches hold Sunday service and Sunday School, which are spaces for individuals to worship, pray, build community, and learn.

 

What’s Large Group and Small Group?

Large group usually refers to the gathering of an entire fellowship.

Small groups are designed to create a closer family-like environment. They typically have one or two upperclassmen leaders. Across fellowships, they can also be known as house churches or cell groups.

 

Do I have to be Christian to join a ministry?

Not at all! Regardless of your background, we’d love to have you here. Our communities are made to be open to everyone, to invite exploration, and to empower individuals to arrive at their spiritual decisions based on their personal convictions.
